Hello Everyone,
Some of you have not received our emails about the latest meetings and debate dates because we have yet to contact everyone since a large amount of students registered with us during fresher’s week this year. All events and meetings will be emailed to members, and if you haven’t registered with us yet, or want to get involved, then please send us an email on debates@kingston.ac.uk
During fresher’s week we spoke to many of you, and took on board some suggestions made in light of our agenda – many students were interested in a debate on the Niqab which raised questions relating to feminism, and freedom – is there a limit, and if there is, then who decides what that limit is?
As you are all aware, last year we co-hosted a successful event with the Christian Union, and plan on doing so this year – the debate motion is: ‘’Who is a better role model – Jesus or Muhammad’’ between Jay Smith and Sami Zaatari. The debate will definitely take place on March, but the date has yet to be confirmed.
